Due to new responsibilities at home, a new grandchild and another on the way, Jim and I need to be home more than we can get away to our second completely furnished and outfitted home, “Musa Sirena” (Mermaid Muse) in Mexico. So, we have decided to sell it so it can be enjoyed by a family that can visit there more often.

We spent about two+ years remodeling this spacious three 3 bedroom (all with en suites), 4 ½ bath, wheelchair accessible home in Playacar, a lovely 24/7 gated community in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

Playa Del Carmen is about 45 to 50 minutes south of Cancun. There are other smaller newer airports in the vicinity, but Cancun generally has the best prices and availability.

Musa Sirena has a 5-to-10-minute walk to go to the beach or alternatively to golf at the Hard Rock Golf Course. For exploring by foot, there are local and upscale dining, shopping, and entertainment neighborhood options, or the popular “Fifth Avenue” is either a 15–20-minute walk from our door, or a 5-minute cab or car ride.

Taxis are common and easy to flag down and also are inexpensive to take to all around Playa Del Carmen and surrounding areas. Of course, renting a car even for the day would be an option or using the commonly used local bus would allow exploration in nearby communities or little towns or visit historical Mayan ruins.

The house is fully furnished with all the extras including linens, extra plush foam mattress toppers, extra sheets and pillows galore, towels, beach towels, toys for the beach, pool toys, a first floor main work desk area and washer/dryer utility room with ironing board, iron, and detergent dispensers. The kitchen has all of the chef’s toys and tools imaginable. Also, we have vertical floor fans which are nice when conserving air conditioning costs, and ceiling fans are throughout the house.

There is plenty of storage space, closets, which can provide a lot of flexibility for families or couples with their unique needs. Each bedroom has a work desk and flat screen tv.

For those times you need to chill from all of the sun and fun filled outdoor beach activities there is a commercial stove and fully stocked kitchen you could cook or better yet,  have a chef come to the house to  give cooking lessons and then serve you .  After dinner, or for morning coffee/tea, there are outdoor garden and patio areas at the house and near the community pool where you can enjoy the flowers and landscaping.

For restorative moments, we have a yoga exercise room on the third floor (also includes a single wall mount bed that could be used for an extra bed) the outdoor patios, (as mentioned above), and the swimming pool where you could also arrange for water aerobics or yoga.

There are low association quarterly dues that help support the landscaping, fountain, property manager, and maintenance.
